Twitter Adds “Conversations”

Twitter makes it easier to follow “tweet conversations” as it launches an update to its Android and iPhone apps, as well as on Twitter.com.

With this, Twitter shows the conversation participated by two or more persons that a user follows by grouping the tweets together on the timeline. The conversation cluster appears chronologically, in accordance to when the last tweet in that particular conversation was sent. So for instance, if a conversation started an hour ago but the latest tweet connected to it was sent just seconds ago, the entire conversation appears on top of the timeline.

Three tweets from each conversation are shown: the first and final two tweets, all connected by a line. More details of the conversation appear when the  first message in the stream is clicked.
